Single chip DECT / CAT-iq solution

Our single-chip family comprises the industry's first fully integrated, monolithic DECT / DCT / CAT-iq processor ICs. These flexible ICs combine powerful baseband processing and radio functionality, providing a platform for creating a complete range of DECT / DECT6.0 / K-DECT and ISM band 2.4 GHz models.

All our single-chip chips feature a 16-bit CompactRISC™ microcontroller for general processing including power management and non-real-time MMI functionality. In addition, a powerful Gen2DSP core processes the audio streams and delivers the superior voice quality of the CAT-iq standard. This core also enables features such as telephone answering machine voice compression and advanced ring-tones. A dedicated instruction processor (DIP) can be programmed for standard and customer-specific air protocols, and provides support for the new CAT-iq frame format.

We offer a range of single-chip solutions optimised to meet the needs of different applications and business cases. Various ROM / RAM variants are available, allowing manufacturers to minimise their bill of materials for mass production. Our first variant, which comes with Flash memory, is ideal for product development, production ramp-up or applications requiring regular software upgrades. Additional versions are compatible with the Flash solution, enabling a smooth and rapid path from product development to cost-effective mass production.

All our single-chip DECT / CAT-iq solutions include support for hands-free speakers, LCD displays and LCD backlighting, allowing various products to be developed for different market segments using the same chip.
